Borgo Casignano, Monti del Chianti
Grapes are sorted by vineyard. The maceration is done in stainless steel vats at a temperature of between 24° to 34° for a period of 2-3 weeks. During the fermentation it is combined with a selection of cultured yeasts of a varietal nature. It is micro-oxygenated for a month and, once the malo lactic fermentation, using selected bacteria is complete, wines from the various vineyards are blended. This wine remains in steel tanks and wooden casks for 18 months before being bottled. The bottles lay to mature for at least one year before being released for sale.
Appearance: Intense ruby red with purplish highlights.
Bouquet: Heady, with an underlying scent of wood and a hint of spice.
Taste: Full-bodied, with soft, persistent tannins.
What have been said about us and awards
Gambero Rosso Wine Guide: “Solatio 2000 has made a good impression. It is vibrant and pleasantly intense with a good clean flavour. Score: 2 Glasses.”
Luca Maroni Wines Guide: “I suggest that the soft, inviting delicacy of the mint flavoured, excellent Solatio, should also be a characteristic of the pulpy, fleshy Chianti. Solatio is a convincing top class wine.
