Borgo Casignano, Monti del Chianti
Late-ripening grapes harvested in cases in the very early morning; after a light maceration for a few hours, the skins are separated from the must. Left in stainless steel vats to facilitate clarification the must is treated with cultured yeasts to start up alcoholic fermentation. After one year the wine is bottled and laid to mature in the cellar for 6 months before sale.
Appearance: Straw-coloured with residual marks on the side of the glass showing consistency and a good level of alcoholic content.
Bouquet: A complex wine with hints of yellow flowers (broom), fruit (banana-pineapple) and spices.
Taste: Warm and well developed with good sweetness and flavor.
